what was the moment you loved art history?

this is assuming everyone on here has a love for art history of-course but i’d like to think if you’re subscribed you hold some what an affinity for it. i can only speak for myself of-course but there are moments where i’m reading about a piece, how it affected history and all the dimensions it exist’s within after its view into the public lol and just feel like…damnnnn in the best way possible of course which led me to ask this question on here hoping to hear other people’s moments via /r/ArtHistory https://ift.tt/39I7uQe

My dad lied about his age and joined the Navy at 17. He was sent to Korea in the late 50’s. He was always a troublemaker, so he was assigned the worst duties – down in the bowels of the ship.
